Going out on a limb here and guessing this is former Saints great Pat Swilling's son?

Father is Pat Swilling, the great OLB for Georgia Tech and the New Orleans Saints. Dad was Ambrose's teammate with the Saints.

Swilling Jr. was supposed to sign with Tennessee, but it didn't happen after the coaching change.

The rumor swirling around is that Ambrose got Swilling Jr. to visit this past weekend and that we're in the running along with some SEC schools.

Also, he's a very good athlete who was pretty highly regarded as a SG prospect in basketball before announcing he would focus on football.

EDIT: Swilling Sr retired after the 1998 season. Ambrose joined the Saints in 1999. Connected, but never teammates.

He's either a Taylor Mays sized safety or 20 pounds away from being a nice looking LB. Hopefully his dad's relationship with Ambrose is pretty strong. Great bloodlines here.

FWIW, Scout has him at 6'4" and 255 lbs. VolNation and NOLA.com say he's 225 lbs, which I think is probably accurate. He says he wants to play Safety and I do think he'd begin there since he played CB in high school. But he looks like a future OLB to me.

If he can run I would love to see us with a safety who can just kill guys from back there. He could really make guys think twice when they are running those little slant routes from the slot in the spread everyone seems to be running. Becomes much less of a high percentage play when the reciever is worried about getting knocked into next week by a 225lb safety. Also matchs up better against those TEs that seem to kill us every year on the seam routes.

Would like to see him at OLB if he comes. I am tired of us being under-sized at LB.

i've heard he was evaluated as a cb, not where he would play at the next level. i think the offers speak for themselves.

they might be filled up, they have 27 with 2 guys unsigned. probably wouldn't stop them though, oversigning seems to be the thing in the sec.

His b-ball state championship was either yesterday or today. That means a decision soon is upcoming imo

Swilling just led his team to a 5A state championship in basketball. Now the basketball programs have come calling and he's undecided whether he's going to play football or basketball in college. There is some good news, though:

Having fielded offers from school such as Auburn, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, Mississippi, Southern Miss, Tennesse and Virginia Tech, but if he decides to follow his father's footsteps, he already knows where he is headed. "If I do decide to play football, I'll be heading to Colorado. I feel its the best fit for me, and I really like the coaching staff."

However, this could take a while and he's got some real strong options in basketball (all the other visits mentioned below are for hoops):

"I would like to make a decision during the signing period, but if I am not ready, I won't worry about. I want to make sure I am right. I want to visit Colorado, Alabama, Oklahoma, UCLA & Marquette. I want to see all of the schools for myself. I really want to get to know the players and coaches. I want to be sure the coaches will be around while I am there. It is important to me that the school has a strong tradition with a strong and loyal fan base. I also want to get a good look at the school side of things too. When I am done with the visits, I will sit down with my parents and we will decide what is best for me."

Love to land this kid, stud athlete that could play just about anywhere on the field. Could be a sick rush end or OLB

It always seemed like basketball was where his heart was. Probably a good decision.

I believe that CU stopped recruiting him once we signed Terrel Smith, who is all football player. In this case, I think everyone had things work out for the best.
