Independence H.S. (Charlotte, NC) / University of Georgia (Athens, GA)

Redshirt Sophomore - must sit out 2010 and then will have 2 years to play 2

Ht: 6-foot-0
Wt: 196 lbs
40: 4.42 secs

Rivals rating: 3*; #31 Safety
Scout rating: 3*; #66 Safety
ESPN rating: 3* - 78 grade; #23 Cornerback

Reported Offers (2008): Georgia (committed), Clemson, Duke, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Marshall

Also, while Pugh played Free Safety at Georgia he is a complete defensive back. He can play Safety, Nickel or Cornerback.

My suspicion is that he will be a leading candidate to replace Jimmy or Jalil at CB in 2011. Ambrose likes big, physical corners and Pugh fits the bill.

Did he ever play at Georgia? If so, does anyone know his stats or if he made the 2-deep?

His redshirt year he had a bad ankle injury that kept him from practicing. That put him behind and at the bottom of the depth chart. He played sparingly his RS-Freshman year and made a few tackles. But he got caught up in a numbers game, saw the writing on the wall, and did not participate in the team's spring activities. He did, however, continue going to class in order to keep his academics in order.

Interesting to transfer from Georgia to Colorado, especially when you're from North Carolina.

Welcome aboard!
