'11 CA PG Askia Booker (Signed to Colorado)

Thanks. But that ESPN page is linked on the first post of this thread. I think Askia is going to turn into one of those special players who a couple years from now people look back and wonder why he was so lightly recruited. If he was a couple inches taller he would likely be one of the top SG prospects in the country.

Hmmm. This sounds like someone we might know...

Booker's going to surprise people. Every single review of his game has been overwhelmingly positive and the stats back it up. They all seem to say that if he was just a few inches taller they would have rated him much higher.

He's got the potential, once he gets into the weight room, to develop into a Jacob Pullen type player for us.

Booker is one of those guys who the critics will always say "He's to small" to which the response will be "Okay but he wins." Given a choice of short on height or short on skill, give me the guy who lacks the inches and makes the plays.

Booker's biggest challenge will be defending guys who have an advantage over him in size. Fortunately he has enough quickness to beat them to the spots where they could take advantage of his size and more importantly based on the other players Tad is recruiting and his team at UNC, he is going to have enough good athletes on the floor playing a helping style of D that it shouldn't be a big issue.

Plus, with Dinwiddie's size at the point, we'll be able to get away with tweeners at the 2.

So he'll bitch out if we don't make the tournament? I keed.

Per his radio interview with Buffchips, we need to update his offers. UCLA tried to steal him late.
