CU is the first program to offer Guerrero. Due to an injury last summer and then having to sit out last season because of CA prep transfer rules, not a lot of schools have been able to scout Guerrero. This would be an absolute steal for the Buffs. His quicks and his handle are off the charts.

New Scout article: http://colorado.scout.com/2/1000916.html

Cezar's only scheduled visit so far is to Western Kentucky. One he gets back, he'll evaluate. If he doesn't commit, it sounds like CU would be at or near the top of his list. Here are a couple quotes from a really good Scout article:

“All of our family is a Denver (Broncos) fan,” he said. “My brother was a big John Elway fan. Once he went from Stanford to the Broncos. (My brother liked) his composure and how he took teams' and stuff.”

“It feels good to play at home,” he said. “I’d love to play at home to be honest with you. Colorado is one of the schools I’m really thinking about now.”

I think he's our #2 or #3 PG target behind Dinwiddie now.

Today's Rivals update lists a UNLV visit for October 17th to go with his September 11th visit to Western Kentucky. He'll make the decision in the early period and doesn't plan on taking any visits after UNLV. If CU wants him, we need to get him in over the next 4 weeks.

Guerrero is shooting up the boards for the scouting services. Moved up over 20 spots in the Rivals top 100 and from an 85 to a 91 grade by ESPN.

Visiting Western Kentucky this weekend and there's a chance he commits.

I don't think that this is a big loss at this position. As small as he is, he would have to be very athletic to be successful in the PAC or other major conference. He probably made the right choice and I wish him well. I doubt that he was a high priority recruit for CU.

He is no longer committed to Western Kentucky. Does anyone think CU has a chance?

Good catch.

I'm almost positive this ship has sailed, though. Reports are that Boyle is looking for a big body to sign in the Spring (or a blue chip scorer/wing if we can get lucky there). I wouldn't expect Guerrero to even visit CU.

Makes sense. We need a big badly. I would love to see Boyle get DeAndre Daniels and/or LeAntwan Luckett either tho.

According to Rivals, Cezar has picked up offers from Kansas, BYU, Florida St, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Iowa, West Va, Wake Forest, and Oregon St.

He must have had one hell of a senior year. Im sure he is happy that he didint end up signing with Western KY.

No longer has a scholarship offer from us. Makes sense since we already have two incoming freshman PG.

Read in the paper (aka, daily bark-n-fart) today that he committed to okie lite.

Thanks. I'll update the thread title and the 2011 Profile Index. I'd stopped checking on Cezar because I knew we weren't recruiting him after signing Dinwiddie and Booker.

Verbal to Okie Lite reported by all services on or around 2/25/11. He'll be able to sign during the spring period in April.

interesting ..... Would you rather have him over Booker or Spencer? I think I like those two more.

Tough to compare him to spencer because they are very different players. Id rather have Cezar then Booker just based on the offer sheets of the two.

Spencer was the top PG target for us (even over Larkin).

Hard to choose between Booker and Guerrero. It depends on what you want. Booker's more of a shooter & scorer. He also plays more under control. Guerrero's flashier and really needs to be playing the point. Considering what we have and who we signed, Booker's the better fit. I like both players, though.
