Same high school as Jered Bell IIRC?

Ugh, has ASU offered every single kid on the west coast?

Might be back in the mix, decommited from UW

ESPN's Greg Biggins reports that he is seriously considering UCLA, but also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State and New Mexico State.

UCLA is destroying UW's class all on its own.

Sounds like he was a back up plan and once Seymour committed to USC the Ducks offered.

I think student athletes should consider what their lives will be like on campus when they're not practicing indoors (because it's raining). Spending 4+ years in the cloudy and depressing wet drizzle of the pacific northwest doesn't exactly meet my expectation of the "college experience" unless you're into clam digging...

    23 seconds,

Was a good 3 yards past the line of scrimmage when he passed the ball.

I hope weather is not a huge consideration in a recruits decision although Oregon has lost recruits due to weather. I would hope education, quality of football team, being close to family, and so many other things are taken into consideration before the weather is lol.

I think it's only natural, in today's world of high stakes recruiting, schools boast of their advantages (man made or not). For instance, Oregon has Phil Knight internships and brand new glass and steel buildings (to keep the rain out) while Colorado has 300 days of sunshine/year, low humidity and the best powder skiing and snowboarding in the country (and a National Championship in Football). ; )

You'd be surprised. As a parent, I'd advise my kid to consider that. I certainly have whenever I've considered moving to take certain jobs. It's part of the quality of life decision.

That said, everywhere in the Pac-12 is pretty high on the quality of life scale. Just depends on what you like and don't like.

Is the weather that bad in Oregon? I know it rains a lot but is it that bad?

Well the temperature is mild, but it does rain quite a bit. Truthfully I dealt with worse in Canada, but it might be quite a shock for someone who comes from Cali, Florida or Texas.

If it's not raining, it's overcast. The summer is an exception, when it's often sunny for days or even weeks. My daughter moved up there 5 years ago and dislikes the weather, but is stuck there for other reasons.

I lived in Eugene while my girlfriend (now wife) finished undergrad. It was a pretty hard adjustment coming from Colorado sunshine to darkness. The worst part, though, was the pollen. It was like snow covering the streets, cars, everything. Plus there was a lot of pollution that spewed from the redneck mill town that was across the river. People resorted to wearing surgical masks to ward off asthma attacks. I'd be surprised if there weren't the occasional transfer due to allergies. It's that bad.

He will be visiting this weekend and it sounds as though he will receive a scholarship once he is on campus and the coaches have had a chance to talk to him. If he gets the offer he is expecting it sounds like he will commit on the spot.

Figured. Try to remember what board you are on. I like you, man, but our focus here isn't on the Ducks. :smile2:

Well you have his profile listed so I figured I would keep it up to date. If you wish I will just let you handle the recruiting, but I was just going to put tidbits of info on every recruit I hear about whether it was duck related or not.

When you leave off the team it's trollish, as I've pointed out on a couple other of your posts. Love your humor and cheerleaders, and even this info re: Oregon. It seems you just forget where you are sometimes.

Yo, Duck. Happy to have you update our recruit threads, but you should definitely think about your audience a little more eh? Also, rep me. now.
