'12 CO OG Alex Kozan (Signed to Auburn)

Grimes is clearly a great recruiter. Getting kids outside of the South to pick Auburn takes a lot of work.
His success with developing Nate Solder should play well with any OL, especially one from Colorado. OT, but when Grimes left and was weakly replaced it was all but over for Danny.

Although I despise him for leaving CU for more money, Grimes is not only a great recruiter, but a GREAT OLine coach. What he did here with mostly freshman was astounding imo.

I'll go so far as to say Grimes is bright, articulate and destined for much bigger things than Auburn's O-Line coach. Although he is probably one of the highest paid O-Line coaches in the country and satisfied for now, I'd expect him to move up the coaching hierarchy very soon. I'd even go so far as to say there is almost no chance that he will be the O-Line coach at Auburn when Kozan and Callahan in their final year of elibibility. I'm basing this on meeting Grimes several times at donor functions. He was the single most impressive guy on the staff during the entire Hawkins tenure (which some will say doesn't mean much) as far as a guy you could picture leading a BCS program as head coaching material someday.

Wow. Not good having a back issue. Alex killed it in the national championship game. Good luck and come back stronger than before!
