I like the size, but I wonder if he doesn't need to develop a little more quickness

Rivals article from its Ute site on 8/10 talked about unofficials this summer to Utah, SMU and Louisville. He didn't pull the trigger and it sounds like he was hoping some other programs stepped up with an offer (Ole Miss and Stanford mentioned). CU stepped up, so we'll have to see if we are able to make an impression.

SMU and Utah lead. CU is right behind. He hasn't started setting OVs yet.

I assume he'd at least start at OT, much like Irwin.

More of a pass blocking player. Actually reminds me a lot of the guys that Jones would bring in at UH when i was there. Can't coach size but I think he's developmental guy. Solid/nice punch and uses his hands well to wall people off. Doesn't show the snap you really want but he has some power in there. Weight room/training table/good line coaching will make a world of difference for this kid. His feet aren't bad. Not great, but not bad. It's another Texas kid, that's a great thing. It seems like we're going to make the state of TX the unofficial home for our recruit O-Linemen. Not a problem with that. Most of these kids are growing up near farms, grinding and work on ranches or whatever. Not a bad thing going in. We've had a lot of success on the OL with kids from Texas. I see this kid playing LG, RG or RT.
