I'm willing to bet that if Texas A&M eventually offers to the twins, they will w/o a doubt pick the aggies over CU. Cy-Fair is a very ag school (I mean, they have livestock championships to brag about) and A&M is the university to shoot for post-highschool for that bunch.

Most places call them beauty pageants but I believe in Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and possibly Fort Collins they are appropriately referred to as "Livestock Championships" and held in a barn at the county fair.

    A & m not

FYI Actually Sean and Jeromy Irwin are triplets. Their other brother John just isn't a jock!! They are really excited at the offer and yes Colorado is leading right now. We are really impressed with the coaching staff and the way they have approached and recruited them. The boys look forward to visiting soon and I have a feeling when they come up there, they are going to fall in love with the country. The boys want to attend a school that truly wants them to be there and will develop their talents. They have visited A&M but I don't think even if they offer, they would be considered because they want to go someplace where they can play and learn. Cypress is a surburb of Houston, aggies are everywhere, even in your neck of the country. I'm married to one, but pulling for the "Buffs"!!

    Thank you, Ann Henry.

Best of luck for the boys to find the right college for them. We're all hoping that CU is the right fit. We'd love to see them in the black & gold.

Welcome Ann Henry! It's such a good school that all these grads make a fine living and don't do anything but post about football recruits all day. Wish y'all well.

This is welcoming news! I went to Cy-Creek and even though we are rivals to Cy-Fair, I'm rooting for the kids to come up to Boulder. I'm very glad I did and the Irwin kids will be too.

If I was a tight end I would seriously be giving Colorado a hard look right now. With the head coach being a former tight end, having coached Macky award winners and a commitment to a pro style offense and opportunity for early playing time its a perfect situation for a tight end to develop his talents.

I assume his brother has the same top 3?

That Rice offer concerns me because of their strong academics and the fact that it's their hometown school.

I know Rice Football well, and have a have 5 friends who played for them. It's hard to imagine 2 schools or college football experiences that would be more different than CU and Rice. I'm not trying to badmouth Rice, becuase it is a quality school. Most of the students (only ~3500 undergrad, probably about the size of Cy-Fair HS) are so focused on academics and whatever else got them into school like the violin or programming computers that they hardly notice the football team. 6 of Rice's 10 games last year had less than 20,000 in attendance, and it's not unusual for Rice to be out numbered in attendance at their home games against other Texas schools by more than 3-1. Sean could go to CU, get a great education, and have a heck of a lot more fun in the process.

Not sure there really is a set top 3 right now. They both seem willing to wait out the process to get some more offers.
