Denton Guyer is a solid program in the DFW area. Kennedy should help here, as he recruited the DFW area pretty heavily while at Texas.

He looks like Ed McCaffrey's son! Big ol' yoked white dude at the WR position.

Come on Bobbie. Help Embo turn this thing around. Get that Brick!

I'm a sucker for the story of a Colorado boy who lost is way, ended up in Texas, and then comes home.

This is what Rivals had to say back in November:

Rivals also said he was attracting attention from schools around the state. Hope this a sign of things to come in Texas. One of the reasons the last staff did so poorly in Texas was the because it seemed like they only offered the sure-fire stars at this juncture (i.e, players we had little to no shot at). Going forward, we need to be offering some of those prospects, but we also need to be getting in on the second tier players early as well.

He really does look a lot like Ed. Hopefully he plays like him, too.

If we can land Powe and Crane next year it would be massive to the program.

We will have plenty of competition for Crane's services at WR. He was impressive as a junior, despite being on the team with All-District First team WR Josh Stewart. (Crane was named second team as a junior.)

Stewart is headed to Okie State - a school that had recruited Crane, but slowed communication after they got Stewart to sign. But buzz about Conner Crane (spelled Conner on the school website), is picking up at a number of schools, including Texas Tech, Texas A&M and Arizona. University of Louisiana/Monroe has been in contact, but I'd imagine Conner is moving on to larger schools and bigger conferences with the attention he's getting.

Colorado Scout is reporting that Crane will spend most of his spring break in Colorado, including a stop in Boulder to watch spring practices. (He and his family will also spend time on the slopes in Breckenridge.)
Currently showing "high" interest in two schools: CU and Kansas.

I like our chances. The scheme we are going to run at CU is going to attract alot of tall physical WR prospects.

Impressive in the video clip, He has game speed, and he like Eddie Mac is willing to block in the running game. I expect him to be rated in the top 20 at his position. He would be an excellent addition to the progam, if he can land him and Powe we would set for the 2012 class for WR.

KU is real competition here. His mom went to school there and he likes that he'll get some games close to home since in the Mack 10 the Jayhawks will travel to Texas twice a year.

I like Crane as a prospect, but he is not a top 20 WR. I also like Powe as a prospect, but I do not think we take those two and call it good. We need some serious help at WR in the 2012 class.

I agree. We need one of those guys like Green/Floyd/Jones who we know will be a star before he ever sets foot on campus. WR is one position where a guy can make a huge impact as a true freshman even though he hasn't quite physically matured into the adult bodies upperclassmen have.

Yep. Just look at Richardson this past season. I think Nelson Spruce will get significant playing time this year, but that is partly out of necessity (and I like Spruce as a prospect). I hope we nab a guy who can make an immediate impact and get 2-3 others like Crane/Powe to help with depth.

Offcourse we should recruit and sign about 3 or 4 WR. But would be happy if atleast 2 of those 4 WR were Powe and Crane. Crane maynot be a top 20 prospects in the eyes of the so called experts at ESPN and etc. But to me a guy that is 6'4" that can run, excellent hands, good route runner , and is willing to block in the running game, is a top 20 prospect. Maybe top 2 prospect LOL.

I go to Ku, but only because of finances. I would kill a man to go to CU. I would do it. But Ku is in a similar spot as we are, except ours is depth and theirs is just a ****** WR corps. No one catches the ball on that team.

You're entitled to your opinion, but if you want to see what a top 20 WR looks like, go look at highlight videos of past Rivals top 20 WR prospects and then tell me if your opinion on Crane is different.

I think of a top 20 WR as a true game changer. That really does not describe Crane, although I would still like to see him as part of the 2012 class.

EDIT: If you want to see what an elite big WR looks like, go find highlights of Dorial Beckman-Green online.

Crane looks like a game changer, 6'4" guy with good speed, that can run routes well. Pls tell me how do you define a game changer at the wR position. What must he do to be considered a game changer.?
