'12 WA S Ma'ne Manaea (Signed to Idaho)

I'm with you, Snow, although I thought his committment was supposed to have been soft originally. I really hope this works out for both sides (and that Ma'ne somehow ends up in Boulder, anyway). NOT looking for another snarky comment from a 19-year old talking about "kids."

Could you direct me to the article? I searched the internet and didn't find anything but am be interested in what he said in response to questions because I can tell you he isn't talking unless asked, that's just not who he is. Ma'ne looking at other schools only came after his offer shifted due to the gray shirt situation. No doubt he felt the ground shift from under him at that moment. He's a great kid, he took his commitment seriously. Sometimes this is how recruiting goes... nothing is solid until LOI day and it can shift on either side. I was really hoping to see him on that beautiful field in Boulder... OK, that's my random quota of comments for the day! I'll go back to my corner.
The way I understood it was he was never solid and let it be known in his own statements. Hope he is still a Buff in the end but if not good luck to him.

www.buffscoop.com - sorry, premium content so I can't divulge. I am sorry if you thought I was being negative towards the kid, i'm not. I really wanted him. Hope he lands somewhere good for him.

No worries, I didn't think that at all, just curious where the info was coming from. We've experienced many mis-statements (is that proper?) so thought I would check it out. My experience tells me things are not always as they appear and knowing Ma'ne and talking to him after his visit I know he was not looking around but that was a couple weeks ago. That said, things change for a reason and I'm sure it will in this case it will as well no matter which way it goes. BTW: I always enjoy reading your comments!

Thanks. Btw, with Ma'ne, things are not as they appear.

Scout has taken him off our commitment list. We're now ranked #35. Rivals still has him on the list. Wonder who we're getting to cause the coaches to want to grayshirt him.

Ma'ne seems like a great guy. I'm really hoping for the best for him.

Good luck Ma'ne. I was hoping for all of the pun opportunities here, but we did just land two DBs who, combined, have Ma'ne, Manaea stars associated with them according to the recruiting services, so we'll be fine.

Was hoping he'd still end up here, but totally understand. Moscow's a fun town for a weekend (my opinion), but they've had a few decent safeties in recent years, namely Shiloh Keo, who's with Houston right now.
