As with his brother, Tyree, Tyrell is a great basketball player and would like to play both in college. Boyle needs to be involved along with Embree on their recruitment. Tyrell may be leaning more football than Tyree.

Here's what Tyrell's basketball profile would look like:

    Small Forward / Shooting Guard

    AAU: Oakland Soldiers

    Rivals rating: 3*; #121 overall
    Scout rating: 3*; unranked SG
ESPN rating: 2*-69 grade; #50 SG
    247s rating: unrated PG

Not quite the basketball recruit that his brother is, Robinson's still a solid basketball player. Tenacious defender who caused problems for SD State bound Matt Shrigley in the DII Championship game. Like his brother, he tends to play a little too fast at times. He needs to work on his ball handling, but along with his defense he has a great mid-range game. So he'll get minutes in college ball if he goes that route. Kind of appears that football may be the brighter future for him right now.

Do we put tyrell on a football schollie and let him play hoops and then his brother on a basketball one and let him play football?

If they recieve any financial assistance from the school and see any action in football regardless of how much time or what they do in any other sport they count against football.

If a kid plays basketball and any other sport other than football they count against basketball.

Is that due to cost of the scholarship or roster limitations in football?

    NCAA regs.

Football pays the bills at most big schools. They don't want schools using scholarships for another sport benefiting football. Basketball is the second revenue sport so again they don't want schools using schollies from another sport benefiting basketball.

As an example how many football players could also run track. Without these regs a school could fill their track team with guys who play football as well but count them as track. Instead of having 85 players they would have over 100.

We'd rather have them both on football scholarships anyway. They'd be considered walk-ons for the basketball team. That would be a great problem to have.

Would essentially have 15 scholarships for hoops, that's leverage we could use to dominate. *lost in a daydream*

Not really, surprising since they have been leaning towards the ducks for quite a while. Sounds as though they will not be taking any more visits but that could change.

I don't know about any specific teams but according to Bruce Feldman he has a blanket release, free to go anywhere in the Pac-12.

He's going to Fresno State. The rumor on why he left Oregon was that he stole from his teammates, so probably good that he's not coming here.
