Sorry if he already had a profile but I could not find it through the search function.

Ringo reporting he will be attending our spring game

Scout has his junior stats
threw for 2,439 yards and 13 touchdowns with eight interceptions while rushing for 1,428 yards and 21 touchdowns

Max Preps lists him as #2 QB in California and #10 QB nationally

ESPN rated him the Orange County Player of the year last year

Same team as Dane Crane and also plays safety. Definitely a dual threat QB

Looks like he only has offers from AF and UW, just a heads up.

That team must be crazy good though.

Ya big discrepancy between Rivals and Scout on the offers

Scout lists schools with "interest". They only had AFA and UDub as offers. That could change with his spring visits, though. Remains to be seen whether we look at him as a QB or ATH.

Nik beat you to it.

Wonder how hard we are really looking at him considering how much he likes to run. Thought the pro style didnt want that kind of QB.

His nickname is "Johnny Tebow" due to his play-style and toughness/clutchness. he had a lot of help last year playing behind the best HS O-line in the country last year (Max Tuerk, Erik Bunte, Riley Sorenson, Dan Crane, Cole Luther).

Looks like more of a runner than a passer at his point. Seems we're going after that type this cycle for some reason.

247sports is now showing a CU offer and an unofficial visit for April 10th.

Makes perfect sense. Get a pro style QB (Dillon) one year. Followed by a dual threat the next. That way, you always have two QB's with different styles that can come in the game and make something happen. I don't know if that's the rationale the coaches are using, but it makes sense to me.

If you look at who the staff has been targeting, they're all good athletes who can move.

Wood runs like a 4.6 forty.
Dorman played some safety in high school.
Webb was a very good running QB at Kansas (if we get him).
Dillon is a great basketball player.

The evidence says that we're not looking to bring in tall statues back there (as we initially suspected might be the case).

Stanton's recruiting has blown up since we had looked at him.

With Kincade committing to Ole Miss, this is the next big domino that will fall. Looks like it's down to Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State and Wisconsin and each have him as its #1 target now.

Just as a thought, even though it has basically no chance of happening.

With a small class that is rapidly filling up and Sefo already on board, if Stanton were to call our coaches would they take a commit from him at this point?

Another case of our staff identifying talent early and others jumping in after.

Ended up transferring out to a JUCO for this season after ending up buried on the depth chart for the Nubs. Not sure if he was bad or just a bad fit for what Riley wanted to do on offense. Would he be a two for two?

Yes, yes and yes.

QB depth chart hole in next year's junior class along with uncertainty at the position.

Stanton has had a nice year at Saddleback College (a juco that CU recruits): http://saddlebackgauchos.com/sports/fball/2015-16/players/johnnystantonshn3?view=gamelog&pos=qb
