Good luck to Larry and you can't fault that choice. Given the uptick in football recruiting, is there any chance the Ivies are seeing Stanford's success in football and trying to make a play for Division IA status in the near future?

Not sure what D1A status is, but no. The Ivy leagues are more likely to make a pact whereby they standardize what they are willing to do in terms of acceptance factors and financial aid. They will never "stoop" to public school levels, not even that of the crude 'Furd.
