Increasingly, we're seeing a lot of talent coming out of Denver South.

needs to keep his head up when tackling. Chancing a neck injury dropping the head that way.

Definitely not fast. Definite safety at the next level IMO. Hard not to like the tackling ability though.

Denver South also has Zach Lindsay (Phillip's younger brother). Could be a name to keep an eye on

Those track times/distances are a major red flag.

One of the guys on the Rivals board said that Shun was dealing with hamstring issues in the spring. If that's the case, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I know our coaches have scouted Denver South a lot.

PWO until we see glaring reason not to do that.

But that's a PR (personal record). Since it's a PR on milesplit, that means that he's never run an automatic timed, non-wind aided race any faster than that. Hopefully that's due to not having run much (but then it makes you wonder about injuries or level of commitment).

If his hamstrings are messed up, maybe that has to do with his PR. I do know that is a woman's time in the 100, albeit very fast women.

As a former high school sprinter, I'll tell you this: if you have hamstring issues, you're not running the 100, 200 or doing the long jump, or triple without completely ****ing up your hamstring(s).

I might buy the Rivals poster comment if he sat out the entire track season and ran 1-2 races at the end of the season. Otherwise, I'm throwing up the BS flag on that comment.

I thought the same thing 30, I did sprint events and hurdles, something doesn't add up here.

His track times look pretty accurate to me. Speed is not a strength for him.

Looks like a kid who has good height, decent weight for his age with the frame to add more, is aggressive and has some skills.

All these together with no reported offers leads me to believe that the times reported are pretty accurate, otherwise with all he has he would be getting a lot more attention and offers would be coming.

The question is either can he play at the speed he has or is there something that he can do (it might be getting healthy) that gives him the speed to compete. In the PAC guys who don't have the speed to compete become huge liabilities.

    I agree.

Speed can be improved, but those are track times that JV freshman often run at competitive schools. I root for local kids, and I'm hope he puts together a great season and gets a shot somewhere and is able to overcome the possible raw speed issue.

Per his Twitter, CU checking him out during Denver South/Montbello this week and CSU will be represented at South/Broomfield next week.
