Elijah is the son of former Buff Dwayne Cherrington who played RB under Slick. He comes from good genes as his dad was obviously a RB and his mom was a sprinter IIRC. Elijah's AYL team in Parker won 76 games in a row and six straight NFC super bowl titles, Christian McCaffery was also on that team.

'Tini- I think he said in his Rivals interview that he'll play DB in college.

Dwayne was one of the fastest (straight-line) Buffs ever. I'll never forget berating Slick Rick the night before a game in 1997 (when we started to struggle) to play Cherrington more; Ricky looked at me like I had 10 heads.

His HL's actually looked pretty good on both sides of the ball imo. He kinda reminds me of Ray Polk in the way he runs. Speed seems to be a ? here
