Kalu had 44 tackles, 1 interception, and two FG blocks as a junior. He was the defensive newcomer of the year in the district.
 
The worries I had about HCMM possibly de-emphasizing Texas recruiting seem to have been unfounded.

Clearly, CU recruiting is CO-CA-TX with some targeted efforts elsewhere in the Pac-12 footprint.
 
I think Kalu is a solid prospect, but I do wonder about his size. He looks a little small.
 
Not saying anything bad about the kid but that offer list isn't the kind that we are used to seeing for kids that Nebraska is going after. Maybe some of the guys who spend more time on recruiting could comment but it seems like Nebraska has moved down the food chain a ways in the recruiting world. Might Bo be leading them down the road to B1G mediocrity.
