First off, we're already doing 2015 profiles? Seriously? Boyle & Co are taking this serious.

    Anyway, from Josh Gershon:

Brodricks Jones is a long, rangy athlete whose best days of basketball are certainly ahead of him. He is an excellent shot blocker who not only gets up high, but quick, and also looks to dunk absolutely everything he touches in the paint. As he becomes seen by more National scouts, you can expect him to rise in the rankings.

    Strengths:
Jones is a willowy 4-man with great quickness and bounce. He gets great elevation on his jump shot and while finishing in the paint. He runs effortlessly in transition and can explode to the basket for the finish. He plays with good energy at both ends and he has active hands which usually translates to tip-ins at one end and steals at the other.

    Weaknesses:
Jones needs to improve his feel for the game (plays too fast) and fundamentals (footwork) to reach his potential. There are far too many times while finishing he gets bumped off his path while trying to finish. He struggles scoring through contact (lack of strength and balance) as well. By getting on balance and improving his face-up skills (triple threat game=jab step, etc.) his game will go to another level.

    Bottom Line:
Jones is a definite high-major prospect, but he needs to make considerable improvement in terms of production in the next couple of seasons to reach his potential.

    • [h=3]Scout’s Notes:[/h]Brodricks teases you with his potential. He has excellent size and athleticism for a high school forward, and has shown flashes over the past few years. If he ever reaches his considerable potential, he will be a star. He runs the floor well and finishes around the low block.

This kid was a 4* for like, ever. Was not being seen enough what caused him to drop? It seems like there haven't been updates on the kid for a long time.

RK is reporting that he doesn't have a CU offer.

Did CU pull an offer or was one never made?

This has been a strange recruitment. All of the reported offers are suspect. There was interest from big programs dating back to his freshman year in high school, but some of that interest (then and since) was reported by various sources as offers.

He has the body, athleticism and talent to play high D1. We're just a bit in the dark as to where his recruiting is.

I waited to post something but may as well now that he's committed to SDSU.

RK was reporting on Rivals that Jones never had an offer from CU and that the staff was just looking at him. Rivals has removed the reported CU offer and so has AllBuffs.

I think SDSU got a talented guy with a lot of upside. High ceiling / low floor prospect imho.

So, it sounds like he ended up at UTEP at some point. And won't be there much longer.
