“Colorado is getting a highly skilled four-man who plays the stretch four, possibly would be able to get some minutes at the three-spot depending on the opponent and match-ups,” [HS Coach William] Middlebrooks said. “He can guard the perimeter well. He is very athletic for his height, runs the floor well; big, strong player. Obviously the biggest thing is he is a great shooter.”

A good commitment. I saw him play three times this past year. Strong and athletic, runs the floor well. He prefers to play from 15 feet from the basket, so don't expect to see huge rebounding numbers in college. He does have a mid-range jump shot, which is very underrated these days. A future fit for XJ's role. Kudos to Tad for a strong class.

Sounds like he could be the zone killer from the high post we've been missing.

"I think he was looking for a team that was the right fit and needed a big man of his caliber," Boyle said. "The thing I think that makes him special is that he can face the basket. He can shoot the three. He can really help extend the defense.

"Certainly he's not a finished product. Most big guys coming out of high school aren't. But he's got a great skill set that's going to fit very well with the way we play."
