With the Donovan Lee discussion I saw we didn't have one for his brother Dymond. You may remember that he had been listed as a QB for the 2016 class in various recruiting outfits, but he's apparently switched to WR. He's gotten offers from two big time schools in two big time conferences. Given the Chaminade pipeline and the connection to his brother you wonder if we might have a shot at him.

WR as a sophomore, sounds like he's moving to QB as a junior (link)

Forgot to mention, talked to Dymond earlier this month. Not a ton of CU interest so far, but he's on the radar. He sounds pretty close to older brother Donovan. http://bit.ly/1oSe6lx ($)

Finally. And seems like the right position too:

    Kyle McCall @kyle_mccall
Spoke to 2016 four-star Dymond Lee. Chaminade standout picked up a #CUBuffs offer today by way of coach MacIntyre, as a receiver.

"I watched their game since my brother is on their team, noticed how their offense runs. [MacIntyre] said that he supposes I could be a big part of their offense and I agree with him. They have a good system up there. I'm not sure, but that's definitely is going to be on my watch list now."

Let's keep that Chaminade pipeline going. This kid looks like a beast at WR.

WR becomes a pretty big need in next year's class.

I didn't realize he had that kind of size on him. Could absolutely use his skills, speed, and brotherhood!

That would be a very cool story and a very dymanic duo.

Type of player we have to start getting some of if we are ever going to escape the basement in the PAC.

Big play potential and a guy who's name would give us credibility with other recruits.

I think so as well. Another off year in recruiting at WR could leave us in a pretty bad spot.

Could also argue that WR is one of those positions where natural talent is most critical.

You can develop linemen, LBs,QBs, even to an extent DBs. You don't see a lot of difference making WRs "come out of nowhere." The guys who are excellent WRs in college tend to be guys like Lee who lots of people already believe will be very good. Certainly there are exceptions but it seems like a lot fewer than at other positions. Guys don't suddenly "learn" to be big, fast, explosive, and have great body control and hands.

It would suck to have a non-head case Simas in the fold. Want!
