'16 UT OLB Pookie Maka (Signed to COLORADO)

It may sound crass, but I just don't give a **** if the coaches are fakers or not. I'd kill to have a "faker" come in here, fake his way to a few bowl wins and move on. Long term, CU benefits a lot more than having the genuine article win 3-4 games per year.

I do not want Neuheisal back.

So - after the mods trim out Scoob's lust for slimy recruiters, we will get back to the issue at hand.

How is Pookie's visit going you stalkers?

Hopefully, the two recruits from Utah are paying attention to what is happening at BYU. Yesterday, the Salt Lake Tribune ran an interview with BYU's AD, Tom Holmoe, who

"again acknowledged that BYU's current position as an independent in football isn't sustainable in the long term."

The chances of BYU getting into a conference for football in the next 6 years, particularly a P5 conference, is slim to none. Without a conference affiliation, Broncho Mendenhall, the ex-coach, predicted a football meltdown in 3 years. Their schedule is populated every year with 5-6 D2 teams and D1 bottom dwellers. It pads the win column. But to be the best, you have to play the best. BYU hasn't beaten a team that finished in the top 25 this century. Although the new BYU coaching staff generates excitement, they are a very inexperienced group that is also generating off the record concern among knowledgable BYU fans. Hopefully these recruits are looking past the buzz, and want to help push a team into the national spotlight. That is something that is very unlikely at BYU, unless it is for throwing punches.

Don't forget Saleapaga.

YEA!! And I see 5 other PAC schools in the offer list in the OP plus a few other P5 schools. Great get!

Nice. Hopefully he makes it in and gets acclimated in time to contribute from day 1.

At his specific position, not sure that is entirely true. Plus I really think him getting acclimated academics wise and bigger/stronger in the weight room would make him a beast in 2017.
Agree with this. With his situation with the academic side, having a year to get acclimated there would be a real plus for helping ensure he succeeds as both student and athlete.
