'17 CA QB Tyler Lytle (Signed to COLORADO)

Absolutely outstanding! I am so excited about this recruit. He's got great size and mobility and a lively arm, but the most outstanding aspect to me is a lightning fast release!

Can't wait to see what this could mean for the rest of the class and the next 4-5 years at CU. The Rise is real!

ESPN's Scout's Take: QB-PP Tyler Lytle to Colorado:

Colorado landed a huge commitment Tuesday night from ESPN 300 signal-caller Tyler Lytle (No. 296).

What he brings: Lytle has good height and a slim build, but he has some strength to build upon. He is a surprisingly good athlete who, at times, is used as a designated runner. He's accurate. He throws to space rather than at a receiver, and he can lead receivers. He shows good range in the short and intermediate zones and throws a quick, catchable ball. Lytle has the arm to make all the necessary throws including downfield and outside the numbers when his feet are set and he's balanced. He shows a slightly quirky, quick delivery and the ability to change ball speeds. He pushes the ball just a bit. Most kids who are tall and have not grown into their body yet do not get rid of the ball as quickly as he can.

How he fits: This is a huge need for the Buffs as Sefo Liufau is now a senior and there is very little depth and virtually no experience behind him. Lytle could come in and have an opportunity to be a program changer.

Reminds us of: Seth Russell, Baylor -- A thrower who can run. They both have excellent stature coupled with the feet and instincts to make plays when things break down yet still be a passer on the move.

They seem to think he's more dual threat than most. If he can be Seth Russell for us, that'd be great.

With as involved with recruiting players as Lytle has gotten, his twitter is a good one to watch.

Recently started following:

Heston Paige
Noah Ellis
Josh Falo
2019 Blake Benedetti
Ben Thomas appears to be in there somewhere as well based on Ben's twitter.

I would think you could look for our next commit somewhere in there
