Sure would be nice if one of our hail mary's would be caught. This guy would play this year.

Step 1: stop assuming they are hail mary's and recruit these kids like our offer is just as valuable as these other schools.

This! ↑↑ It seems to me that we already have four guys that would have been considered "Hail Mary's" in the past. Add that to our finish to last year's class and we are on our way in recruiting. We are the Colorado Buffaloes and we don't have to apologize to anyone. We finally have some men that can actually pitch the virtues of being a Buff and now have "Home Run" facilities. We are poised to attract the attention of any recruit in the nation and we should be doing it.

Absolutely. So far this cycle, CU has 4 commits. 3 of them are rated 4* on at least 1 of the 4 major sites and each have multiple P5 offers. The 4th guy barely has film from his junior year due to a late transfer and is still rated a solid 3* everywhere and has other P5 offers. We have beaten even Alabama for a commitment this year.

There is absolutely no reason for anyone to assume that CU is taking a back seat to anyone in recruiting.

Which is why Mac stays IMO. You don't disrupt this kind of recruiting if it continues on this trajectory. This young man is one of many high star players that can sign and play right away if he wants. He can be a force right away.
