2011 PAC 12 & Colorado Preps Recruiting Tracker

Elijhaa Penny, ATH, CA, (3*/ 3*/ 3*) dropped Washington, but they picked up a pledge from Thomas Tugoti (JC), LB, CA, (NR/ NR/ NR) to remain at 19 commitments.

Oregon State paid a visit to Saddleback CC to pick up its 17th commitment: Blake Harrah (JC), DE, CA, (NR/ NR/ NR).

Big loss for USC today.

Today is the first day that JC players can sign and the Trojans desperately need to sign prospects in this early period due to its NCAA-imposed max of 15 signees in the 2011 class.

They had flipped Blue Chip junior college DT Sheldon Richardson off of Missouri, who he had originally signed with out of high school. But in a surprise, Richardson signed with Mizzou today.

USC is now down to 19 commitments.

Ian Knight (JC), DE, KS, (NR/ 2*/ NR) has signed with Washington State. That gives Wazzou 20 commits.

I'll work on updating tonight based on who has signed.

And USC is back up to 20 commits with DeVonte Wilson, DE, CA, (3*/ 3*/ 3*).

11th pledge for the Sun Devils: Steward Butler, RB, FL, (3*/ NR/ 3*).

Washington State picked up its 21st and 22nd commitments:

Taylor Meighen (JC), OL, TX, (NR/ 2*/ NR)
Demetrius Cherry, OL, FL, (NR/ 2*/ NR)

Meighen is expected to start at center for them next year.

USC picked up its 21st commit: Soma Vainuku, FB, CA, (4*/ 3*/ 3*)

So far, they have also signed 6 for January enrollment. If they don't sign anyone else early, then USC is done (max 15 in 2011 class due to NCAA penalties).

And they just signed #22: Dallas Kelley, LB, CA, (NR/ 2*/ NR)

While this is a good USC class, it's definitely not to the level they usually recruit. Such a premium was placed on filling numbers by getting early signees that they took some players that they normally would not. There is still a chance that USC takes 2 or 3 more guys for early enrollment.

Oregon State picked up #18 by flipping a DE/DT tweener off of Idaho: Desmond Collins, DT, UT, (3*/ 2*/ 3*)

CU secured its 5th commitment tonight: Nelson Spruce, WR, CA, (3*/ 3*/ NR)

Michael Eubank is gonna be a Sun Devil, man. -- QB, CA, (3*/ 3*/ 3*)

#12 for them. 2nd QB.

Oregon's class is filling up. Snagged their 19th pledge: Tra Carson, RB, TX, (3*/ 3*/ 3*).

In-state QB Brock Berglund has decommitted from CU over concerns about a pro style offense not suiting his game. He has verbaled to Kansas.

USC added another commitment: Jeremy Galton (JC), OL, CA (NR/ 2*/ NR)

This is the Trojans' 23rd pledge and 9th January enrollee. They have 14 commitments for NSD, which means they have room for 1 more in this year's class.

Washington stole a pledge from SDSU for its 20th commitment: Dezden Petty, FB, CA, (2*/ 2*/ 2*)

Stanford secured its 22nd commitment today: Patrick Skov, LB, NJ, (2*/ 3*/ 3*)

His older brother is a sophomore linebacker for the Cardinal. Patrick may end up at FB also. Some of the recruiting fanboys on Rivals had looked at Skov as a guy they were hoping we would offer.

Wazzou picked up its 23rd commitment from the junior college ranks: Lenard Williams (JC), DE, IA, (2*/ 2*/ NR)

Oregon State secured #20, a DE/OLB tweener: Lavonte Barnett, LB, CA, (3*/ 3*/ 3*)

Beaver 21 - Lamar De Rego (JC), DE, CA, (NR/ NR/ NR)

Originally from Hawaii before attending junior college in Cali.

ASU beat out UCLA for its 13th commit: Brent Walker, OL, CA, (3*/ 3*/ 3*).

For its 19th pledge, Arizona found a punter in the JUCO ranks: Kyle Dugandzik (JC), P, CA, (NR/ NR/ NR)

Washington beat out Oregon for an important in-state prospect: Danny Shelton, DT, WA, (4*/ 3*/ 3*).

He says he may still take visits, including UCLA, though. This may not be over.

Utah got its 21st commitment, signing a juco return specialist for the spring semester: Philander Moore (JC), WR, TX, (3*/ NR/ NR).
