(Looks like old news here as to BYU coming to Boulder this year, but confirmation it's a home and home.)

Good news is - this should be a nice way for Dom to build some confidence. And considering he's the key to this season, I'm ok with it.

The stretch from 11/20-12/12 is a good time to build some serious momentum for conference play. Don't leave the state for a month.

I don't see why it is so bad. Auburn is supposed to be way better. Iowa St. is Iowa St. CSU and BYU are quality opponents with Penn St. and SMU in neutral site games. 6 quality opponents.

You're seriously stretching the word "quality" if you're including Penn St.

maybe not quality but neutral site P5 opponent.

Assuming we beat penn state, the main use they provide is an RPI boost based on their conference. The Big 10 SOS will help artificially inflate Penn State's value which will help us out. However we want to play SMU in the tourney.

A very un-appetising home non-conference schedule. Really the only team that may draw a lot of fan interest is BYU.

The meat of the schedule happens away from Boulder.

Mar 9-12 Pac-12 Tournament.
Schedule doesn't match up well with when the students are in school. The home opener is the Friday before Thanksgiving break. Nebraska Omaha, Air Force and UNC are all during Thanksgiving break. BYU is the day before finals. The Vegas tournament game is the first day of Winter Break and Utah is at the back end of Winter Break. Literally in the fall semester Fort Lewis is the only game where it is not during a break or the day before finals.

This is my least favorite schedule in years. Better be at least 11-2 heading into Pac-12 play.

The non-conference schedule is an attendance killer. We'll see the lowest non-conference numbers in the Boyle era. Of course it doesn't help coming off of a poor season.

Unless they win that Iowa State game. If that would happen, all bets would be off with the excitement around the program and attendance.

On that note, the big external factor that is completely out of the team's control is the football team making a bowl game. Nothing would rally the students and have them attending men's hoops games like coming off a football season that was an EVENT for every home game.

February 18th through the end of the season is a walk in the park.

need to split the first two games. Not going to be easy.

I have CU going 10-3 in OOC, and 10-8 in P12 play.
