2016 CU News & Notes (Buff Stuff)

Jay MacIntyre, Justin Jan (no idea?), Joseph Hall (standing), David Bagby (crouching), Jaleel Awini, Robert Orban (tall guy in back), Lee Walker, Chev, Shay Fields, Danny Galloway, Tony Julmisse, Johnny Huntley, Kabion Ento (guessing), Juwann Winfree, Derrion Rakestraw, Devin Ross, Sean Grundman.

Wow, Jay MacIntyre is popping some new guns! Reminds me of Cody Hawkins after his second summer in Boulder.

Apparently they are practicing down there until game week and then will move up there for the rest of the season. I am guessing that 1) The fields are not being used right now as school is still out 2) There is more room so for camp when they are running tons of drills it makes more sense 3) Forcing them up and down the hill in the heat of summer is part of being a buffalo
My understanding is that they want to give the new fields more time to take root.

Guessing we have a missing WR at the top of the list. Shap is going to ask for me at the presser.

Nose Tackle position is confusing. Seems like a couple guys are playing out of position there.

I personally feel decently comfortable with the 2 deep at every position. But that is about it. Cannot have a rash of injuries this year.

Duff I agree at NT. Especially odd that Samson is buried there at #5.

OL a little scary. Lynott with zero experience and Kronshage has been meh

In terms of experience I agree its a bit of an issue, but I like the players we have there for the most part. Kronshage does need to prove he can anchor the right side.

Where is Winfree?

I thought this was the year the MIkMac's long term prospects on the OL were going to blow up?

Gehrke ahead of Montez?

Its been that way all offseason. My guess is that in a temporary injury situation you are going to see Gehrke first. In a long term injury situation you would probably see Montez.

Personally think it should take a while for the OL to settle out... give a couple younger guys a chance to win jobs.

I am sure it will. These depth charts are just kind of a snapshot at the moment anyway. I would imagine we won't see a set O-Line until probably 2 weeks out from kickoff.

I am a little concerned about how the coaches handle Montez this year. If he cannot get second team reps, that is a problem.
