CG Kyle Guy (2016): The combo guard from Indiana helped lead his Indiana Elite squad to a title at the Super 64 and he was quite efficient every step of the way. It is easy to overlook the rest of his game because he is an absolute knockdown shooter from deep, but he can do much more. He is tough in the high screen and roll and isn't afraid to fling his scrawny frame into defenders to draw fouls off the dribble. Guy is pretty much a lock to enter the rankings as a four-star prospect.

Strengths:
Guy is a rangy combo-guard with long arms and he's a very good athlete. He is an excellent point guard prospect due to his length, quickness, and playmaking ability. He is a prolific jump shooter with range out to 21-feet. He gets great lift on his shot and his release is impeccable. He is equally effective shooting off the catch as he is pulling up in transition. He can come off a pin-down screen, gets his feet set, and gets great lift on his shot. He has a solid burst in the open court, excellent ball skills, and a high IQ for the game. In addition, he advances the ball well in the open court and he can run a half court offense. His head is always up scoping out his options and he can deliver the pass at the appropriate time. In transition he has the speed and quickness to blow by defenders and explode to the rim. He moves well without the ball (coming off of screens) and his general understanding of the game is excellent.

Weaknesses:
Guy needs to get considerably stronger as he heads into his junior year. Physical defenders can bump him from his driving lane and take him off his path of where he wants to go with the ball. With added strength he will be able to carry defenders on his hip, make plays for teammates in the paint area, and be able to finish through contact at a more consistent rate. His first step is solid, but he does dribble too high at times allowing defenders to get underneath him for the steal. By lowering his dribble and quickening his crossover, his game will continue to rise.

Bottom Line:
Guy needs to gain strength and continue to polish his skills and savvy, but there is no question Guy is one of the Top 10 guard-types in his class.

so I am not great at analyzing shooting technique, but he looks like he has a quick compact shot.

Watched Guy play against De'Ron in the Adidas Nations final. Kid is not afraid to shoot from anywhere. Those two would be a dream class although I'm sure Indiana feels the same way.

Wow....guy looks about as scrawny as the mayor did at that age. Great looking shot though.

Well, at least he chose the best possible program aside from CU. Can't blame a guy for being wooed by the ACC regular season and tournament champs. That program is only going up.
