A few nice additions to the tailgate gear inventory.

My family knows that pretty much anything that has to do with tailgating is a good gift idea for me. With that in mind, this was a pretty good year...

New tent - complete with Buff logos.
New 3x6 foot table, I envision this being the food table, while the beer pong table is used for booze.
New rolling cooler. I noticed a couple times this year that the regular cooler got filled. This new cooler is deeper and will hold more beer. :woot:

So next year we'll have separate tables for the food and the booze, separate coolers for beer and other stuff, and will look more official with the Buff tent.

Well, the tent isn't actually gone. I still have it.

Good. That tent always meant booze and delicious food.

    Awesome.

I'm crossing my fingers the sacky clan rally for a sat tv, BBQ and keg rig.

How much does a rig like that cost?

I don't know, but if I had to guess, I'd guess around $20K.

I've done some internet research on tailgating rigs. Frankly, one of the best is right in our own lot. The Buffulance, Buff Bus, and the S.W.A.T truck are some of the finest tailgating rigs I've ever laid my eyes on. Someday, when I'm wealthy beyond my wildest dreams, I'll put something together like that. For the time being, we'll have to settle for my buddy's van and a bunch of cool gear.

Away games are very difficult to put together decent tailgates. All my gear is here. I can't take it with me. We got lucky in Hawaii that my buddy has pretty much all the same stuff I have.

So, along with the rig, you can get a cargo plane.

I know the guy who put the Buffulance together. He actually paid for it by setting up a corp or club of some type and selling shares to some of his buddies. Pretty cool idea that got them a top notch tailgate vehicle.

Very cool you've got those thoughts. FWIW, my lottery fantasy includes taking an armored truck to the chop shop and converting it into a tailgate/road trip rig. It would be a tweener between an RV and a Hummer. It's gotta be dual use as a tailgate vehicle and something with some offroad clearance that would allow for an escape into the Canyonlands Maze and down any forrest service roads that you could take a 4wd pickup truck.

The list of features would include side panels that open up with a flatscreen and bumping sound system, a tap or two, a charcoal grill set-up, a gas top range and sink, a genetator, a fridge, storage for all the gear, a satellite box, a pop top, and a hydrolic back door on a bottom side hinge that serves as a ramp into the vehicle, or a tailgate platform sturdy enough to stand/sit upon. Inside would be a mancave with a couch/bed that is comfy for 2 or 3 on a rainy day.

The paint theme must be multi-layer glossy black like on a Lexus, and trimmed with gold. The Ralphie logo is incorporated, leaving no doubt as to fan allegiance.

It could be done for under $150K, that would work, and done well for $200 large.

The base vehicle would be along these lines.

Mobile satellite systems are evolving for the better. The dish that looks like the thing on the top of the house is morphing into something smaller. Check out this kit.

I think if one has the tools, skill, & time needed to put a trailer like that together,(similar to the one in the picture), could be found on Craig's list fairly cheap and be fabricated for around 3k. less TV's, BBQ grill, paint job, and a Sat dish. Did I miss anything?

The SWAT truck (skip work and tailgate) is in our lot, and is pretty much as you've described.

I looked for some pictures and came up short. I'd like to see it and talk to those guys next season.

In my searches, I ran across this tailgate related forum in which I am about to get lost. Pretty good thread on what is out there.

Sometimes people and their passion for football is just inspiring.
