According to Basketball Prospectus:

15. Alec Burks, Colorado
His efficiency numbers are devastated by the CU mandate to shoot threes that he invariably misses, but the 6-6 Burks is hitting 63 percent of his twos. He also draws a ton of fouls and hits 79 percent from the line as a prominent and fully accredited Amigo alongside Cory Higgins and Marcus Relphorde.

*********

Congrats to Alec! Well deserved notoriety.

Great point on his 3-pt shooting. As good as Burks is, I can't wait to see what a stud he will be as a sophomore once he adds
some range to his jumper (and puts on some muscle).

Alec is great and has certainly been a mega-suprise indeed.

Although I doubt there's much of a mandate for him to be shooting 3's. I would say the coaches would MOSTLY prefer him to be dribbling-passing, and driving from the permiter. Plus, the team loses their top-rebounder every time he shoots from outside.
