Best chance for an upset: Stanford - Coach Mac seems to always play them tough
Best offensive player: Nelson Spruce
Best defensive player: Derek McCartney
Breakout player: Hayden Jones
Most disappointing player: Deaysean Rippy
Bold prediction: Colorado does not lose any game by more than two touchdowns this year

Best chance for an upset: USC

Bold prediction: MM becomes the hot coaching candidate of the year, but signs a 5 year extension with CU.

Best chance for an upset: Oregon
Best offensive player (or player most likely to be all-conference): Stephane Nembot
Best defensive player (or player most likely to be all-conference): Gillam Addison
Breakout player(s) O: Carr and Frazier (Finally concentrates on O and is used effectively)
Breakout player(s) D: McCartney and NJ Falo. If we don't want to say McCartney is untested enough to be 'Breakout', then I'd say Gamboa.
Most disappointing player: Michael Adkins
Bold prediction: The win over Oregon makes CU players confident and proceed to beat Arizona, OSU, WSU, and UU and we keep close on the road and scare the rubbers off of the Trojans. (I'm convinced that while close to beating USC at home the PAC refs find a way to keep the P12S leader in the win column.)

Maybe pie in the sky wishful thinking. But just as likely to me as the 5-8 guesses. Probably will be 6-7 or 7-7 or 8-6. I just thin we win most of Arizona, @OSU, @WSU and @UU.
 
At this point, it would be impossible for Adkins to be our "most disappointing player" based on everybody's anticipation of disappointment.

Therefore, I'm going to take a stand and list him as our breakout player. That's right. Adkins rushes for 1200 yards this season!

Best offensive player: Powell and Lindsay
Best defensive player: Tedric Thompson
Breakout player: George Frazier
Bold prediction: Buffs will start with a close win over Hawaii before beating UMASS, and then rolling over CSU 42-10. After being 4-0 in non conference, Buffs beat USC at home and maybe takes Down Oregon too. Game at Utah begins to establish the rivalry with the Utes.

7-7 after finishing the regular season 6-7, but getting a bowl bid under the "NCAA will allow it because CU will sell more tickets/bring more viewers to the Random Corporate Sponsor Bowl than Southwest Eastern MidWestern State U that went 6-6." policy.

Most disappointing player: Yuri - Every year a 4* recruit sits on the bench is a disappointment.
Bold prediction: We'll win a game or two we have no business winning. Arizona, Stanford, USC come to mind. We have to break out of this decade long funk at some point. Might as well be this year.

Breakout player: P Lindsay (Carr equally visible if he does not Rshirt)
Most disappointing player: Any member of the other team.
Bold prediction: We will beat one of the So Cal schools and bump our bowl up a tier. Buffs will be Bowling.

Spruce will commit an NCAA violation by signing an endorsement deal with the united states forest service and will be excluded from the Heisman festivities because of it.

Breakout player: I'll take the field (somebody that nobody else picks).
Most disappointing player: Gillam - Not a knock on him but I think he struggles staying healthy again.
Bold prediction: We lose an OOC game and the board goes into a meltdown. Team bounces back to win a couple of Pac12 games and people feel optimistic again.
