Apparently, the boys are working hard this summer

what i hope to see this fall and in seasons to come:

CU becomes a threatening, physical offense again that focuses on ball control and run game. when the bad guys get winded, you right right at the middle of their defense, without giving them time to catch their breath. combine a mean-ass attitude, with the right run-game philosophy, and the pure awesome homefield advantage of folsom at altitude, and i think our Buffs could become a force again down the road. we need more bodies, of course.

This team needs mental toughness. Hopefully they are getting their ass handed to them in the weight room and pushing themselves beyond what they've become accustomed to. It starts in the weight room and needs to show on the field. Can't push anyone around if you don't feel like you will dominate the guy across from you every down and you need to be stronger than an ox to have that mentality. Glad to hear it from the players and not the coaches too.

Isnt embree re-instituting the 9 on 7's? That drill is the foundation of what we need this team to be. An offense that has one goal and that is to pound it down the throat of opposing defenses and a defense that will sacrifice itself in order to stop a run game dead in its tracks, and create significant QB pressure. They used to run the 9 on 7 with the best defense in college football against the best offense here at CU. Its time that that mentality returns to boulder.
