Poll is not public, so please be honest.

Here's the web site for info on the Buff Club:

    http://www.cubuffs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=600&ATCLID=1613923

You may also call at: 303-492-2200 or 800-621-2833

Anyone remember what the minimum donation is to become a member? I think it's really low, like under $50.

I think they'll take anything, but I thought min was $100.

And even though it's not public: Yes, I am a member.

thought -- maybe the $100 is when you start to get benefits, such as early ticket sales and Stampede magazine.

Proud member. I also double my ticket "donation" every year. 2 tickets = $200.00 and I give at least $400.00 every year. Everyone else should too. That is, if you care about the University.

You also must join if you want to get the CU license plate.

$100 to be a member. Get ticket deals (road game tickets etc.), Stampede Mag and a sweet license plate frame. Everyone who claims to be a CU fan should join.

I'm a member, have been ever since I started getting real (non-student) season tickets. It's been a while, but I thought it was $100 to join. I don't remember but I thought I remember hearing that they used to have programs where it was a reduced rate for recently graduated students, something like $25 or $50 the first year. Maybe not though..

But, I am sure they would take any amount of $$ you would give them, no matter how small. I'm not sure if that would put you in the "Buff Club" though.

I've been screwed...I've donated a shade over $7K over the past 5 years since grad school and haven't received a freggin license plate. Not even sure I'm a Buff Club member but I do get the Stampede mag and tons of invites to east coast alum events.

After Cabral was announced as interim HC, I sent in $100 through the CU website.

CU sent me a thank you letter that said "thank you for renewing your buffclub membership."

I have no idea when the expiration date was for my last buffclub membership.
I guess if I bought season tickets, I'd know when to renew. But I don't. As an OOS alum, I can't justify the season ticket purchase if I'm not going to make the majority of home games. I'll make specific direct donations, like to the Track and XC program, plus payroll deductions to the CU foundation. In total, it's about the same as 2 season tickets.

How are other OOS dealing with funding? Are season ticket holders automatically buffclub members? One booster told me to buy season tickets and then make donate on top of that, but buy the tickets.. Then donate the tickets back to the AD for their use.

What are the OOS folks doing?

For all you lurking millionaire's out there, 25K gets you onto the Buff Club Board of Directors and a parking spot in front of the stadium on game day. Just saying.

This donation is only $50 and actually goes through the Alumni association.

I have been since I graduated back in 89. I donate above the old minimum for my seats which totals $1200 a year and my Company matches my donation!

Also, for CU plates, join the Alumni Assoc and then they cost an additional $50 at the DMV when you go get them.

How do I find out which companies match donations. I work a national "huge" company. They got the bucks to match. Not sure if someone with the University would know?

My company ensures everyone is aware. We are heavily involved in many NGOs/non-profits and the Company encourages you to donate dollars or time. They match for both. I would contact the HR department and ask if it is one of the benefits they offer

You have to be a Colorado resident and apply for the Buff plate (there's a vanity plate charge) - it's not an automatic thing, they don't even know if you want it for your Range Rover or your Jaguar until you tell them.

No, you just have to want to support the buffs financially, no requirement to be an alum.

This is not true. I got the CU plates last year and I had to donate $50 to the CU Foundation, but wasn't forced to become a Buff Club Member

I get it, I thought someone said a license plate holder...the thing that goes around your license plate. I'm a GA resident so that answers that.

No, it's only a requirement for certain seats. Some of the season tickets do not require a yearly donation (which would be the Buff Club membership portion)

One other perk for those of you that can or do attend CU basketball games is that there is a BuffClub lounge you can get beer in.

This is ****ing awesome. My company was not on the list but I contacted HR and they DO MATCH. I hate my company so ****ing much I just donated another $500.00 (not that I don't love CU, just really hate my company). They will match up to $12,000.00 a year.

Everyone needs to look into wether or not their companies match.
