Arkansas has hired Brett Bielema away from Wisconsin

Talk on radio here is that Bielema was the 4th or 5th pick the Arkansas made. They made a call to Gruden. They talked to Mike Gundy, etc...Bielema may have been a desperation pick. They had to land a big name to make up for this last years disaster. Many people are kinda shaking their heads at this one because they don't see it a logical fit.

Down at Auburn Malzahn is a hand-in-glove match. He is a known quantity having worked there for several years as OC. He was probably their only candidate and there were only a few jobs that he would leave Arkie State for.

I've read that BB has known for two weeks he was going to Arkansas. All the other calls or convos were just political theater to appease parts of the fanbase.

I'm not a fan of Bielemea's in game coaching but you can't dispute his success at Wisconsin. Arky made a good hire.

Honestly, if Jones doesn't come to CU, it's because he stayed at Cincinnati. Just my 2cents

I agree with this.

In his presser, he stated he had "no intention of leaving Cincy." That is not the kind of formulation that a coach uses who is planning to abandon ship in 12 hours. It does fit with the strategy that all of his interviewing was intended to pressure the AD into upgrades, etc. The other option is he is lying through his teeth--and if that is the case--that doesn't bode well for us either.
