Per Kensler's blog in the DP, Plati will be spending 2 weeks at the "Biggest Loser" camp. The hope is to get on a program that will help him make some habit changes that will result in becoming more fit and more healthy.

I am critical of Dave on some issues related to how well he has embraced new media, but I also recognize him as a great Buff and one of the best around when it comes to other aspects of the SID position. Further, he's one of the good guys and among the few people you'll find who will respond to emails at all hours of the day (and from just about anyone).

So here's some AllBuffs karma for Plati. Let's hope that this is the start of something great for him.

Problem for Dave is if he loses 200 pounds he will only think it was 20.

:smile2: j/k good luck Plati!

seriously, best of luck to big dave....he bleeds black and gold, and deserves our positive karma fo sho...

Oh man. I thought this was going to be a thread that wished him well at his new job. Wherever that may be.

Oh well. Good luck Dave. I hope you do well.

He should consider pursuing what Nate Newton did....some sort of tummy tuck procedure that has helped him lose over 200 lbs. Of course, he still has two tons of weed packed in his van parked down by the river....

I never knew he was a fatty, and in Boulder no less. I want his job. I bet he has great seats! I enjoy his reports though....not debasing him, Platitudes is cool.

I've had my disagreements with Dave over the years, but there is no doubt that he bleeds black and gold (hope leeches won't be a part of the weight reduction program, black and gold blood wouldn't make for good television!).
Best of luck, Dave!

Good luck. Dave is a good Buff and a good guy and always answers his e-mail.

re: tummy tucks. a real overweight friend in Greeley was told to gain 10 pounds, so Medicare (or caid) would pay for the operation. She did. They did.
