Now that's a quote Squakins might actually understand/relate to as he's bringing his lunchpail to the office and sipping his juicebox while reading the sunday paper
Hawkins likes to blame his epic failure on the gashers and the bad bounces of the ball for the Buffs. What he doesn't admit is that he and the entire staff panic at the first sign of adversity. The staff has no confidence in its own ability to gameplan so they question their tactics at the first hint of trouble. That panic translates directly to the field. When the camera was on Tyler Hansen's face while he was waiting for calls it was easy to see the uncertainty in his eyes.
The panic is justified. We don't have a come-from-behind, big hitter offense. If Mizzou was down 20, they have the schemes in place to rally. Not us.
Finally something worthwhile from Paige. This coaching staff is absolutely clueless. Then they go and effectively blame it on TH by pulling him. Inexcusable in my mind. This staff has no clue how to put Tyler in a position to succeed. DII has reverted to knowing he is going to be fired, so he might as well get his son a little PT before he's shown the door.
Trying to put that interception record out of reach.
