In the last couple weeks, we've seen Hansen at qb, speedy as the #1 rb, simas producing...so it's fair to say, we're finally putting our talent on the field.

However, what's the story with Simmons? Why isn't he playing yet? Considering that he's apparently pretty good at kick returns, why isn't he at least doing that? Someone please help me understand this one...

I don't pay enough attention at the games. Simmons is definitely getting in during passing situations. But I'd say that McNight and Simas are our 1/2 or 2/1 guys. Also, Jefferson has also been getting time. Maybe Simmons is still behind on his understanding of the offense, a little.

I counted Simmons in on around 15 plays for the aTm game. He is getting in, just Simas was doing it and got the looks.

Cool. Thanks. I haven't been able to get the last few games on tv down here. I'm happy to at least know that he's seeing the field.

Disagree because I think Iltis and Behrens should be on the field as well.

Dunno if I can agree since Ebner is on the field a lot and Espy is "coming back"

Behrens replaced Adkins for most of the second half against aTm. Iltis, I believe there has been some health issues as well as attitude issues. I swear I have heard that before.

no ****? That's ****ing awesome. Behrens>>>>>>>>Adkins. :woot: Glad whatever doghouse he has been in is gone..

Bad news? Miller is not guaranteed to start according to the news stories due to concussion. So adkins will be back.

    Based on what?

There is absolutely no information available to us fans that would make a case for Iltis over our Walk-On (Stevens) other than bias. Iltis has a scholarship and was the pre-season starter? So What? I've tried re-watching the games on DVR and there's no way you can come to any conclusion on the center position.

The fact is that Iltis missed time due to injury and came back against KU and played the majority of snaps. He hasn't played since. I'd guess that he's still injured or we'd see him for some snaps. The fact that Stevens has played every snap should be celebrated, not mocked. Iltis is likely hurt right now, but when he's healthy, he'll either play a lot or he won't based on what he can do to help us.

People should keep an open mind that it's possible that Stevens is earning time, not stealing it.

I'm pretty sure Kiesau wants to keep his job and he's making sure that the offense is playing who can help us the most.

Behrens played 70 snaps of the 76 according to cubuffs.com vs aTm. Bahr and Adkins played less than 40 combined, with Givens playing 44 at RT. Miller played all the snaps, but they were split between RT and RG. The 2H front was Solder - Behrens - Stevens - Miller - Givens (left to right).

Agreed. I won't argue for any of the OL players because I honestly don't know, but throwing WR bubble screens to Ebner is just plain stupid.

Who muffed the punt return Saturday? Was that Simmons back there?

I was speedy who "muffed" the punt. It was more that he was blatantly tripped which impeded his opportunity to catch the punt but of course we were flagged for holding on the recovery instead of ATM.
