Big XII conference awards

Still trying to wrap my head around Henery not getting 1st team honors? Dude has to be one of the best place kickers in college football history. Complete wack job there.............

I get that Helu was underused, but awards aren't given out for potential or what-if scenarios. They are for actual production. Further, on your "running" back comment, Demarco Murray made 1st team precisely because he had a sh1tload of receiving yards, more than most WR's even. That is very meaningful. Finally, I didn't subtract anybody's big games, I merely looked beyond to see if there was more substance.

It might just be Husker math but I have a feeling that if Helu had gotten an extra 124 carries (like Speedy did) he might have been able to get 200 more yards. And here I thought the award was for a running back. My apologies. I guess I was also unaware that when running backs have big days (like Helu's 307 yards against MU or presumably Speedy's 195 against KSU) we subtracted those from the averages.
