BCS has it on good authority that CU's next coach is Les Miles?
not this time... im in the dark
Don't tease us!!
I think it's Calhoun too.
Couldn't he just be saying that they will not be targeting NFL coaches with this search?
Makes sense in that they would have to wait until the end of the NFL Season to get started. In college it is not uncommon to have an interim coach take the reigns of a bowl game if another opportunity presents itself somewhere.
its all speculation
My guess is that it's something like that - "we're not going the NFL route. we're not going the assistant coach route. We want somebody with head coaching experience in college football. Our next coach is currently a college head coach." He might be talking about a specific person, but I don't think that quote is any guarantee of that....
I think I'd prefer DeRuyter/Anderson/MacIntyre over Calhoun.
Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn says he has a favorite in mind for the job and it's a current college head coach.
What about Dykes?
I'll take Calhoun if he promises to be the football teams Jeff bezdelik to our eventual tad Boyle
Bohn said he will not consider coaches who have run into serious trouble with the NCAA in the past such as Jim Tressel.
We only seem to hire on the i25 corridor so I assume it's Calhoun.
Thanks for self-limiting the search again, Mike.
Last hire worked out great for us.
No Justin Wilcox makes duff a sad panda
If Bohn is staking his career on anyone, it's Troy Calhoun. Calhoun is a great coach. We'd need to staff him with proficient recruiters.
breaking news alert:
It's not even that, why is Bohn tipping his hand at all?
I hope that is not the case. We need a process - not the Mike Bohn myopic approach.
DeRuyter said today he hasn't been contacted by any schools about a coaching job.
Just because it's his "favorite" doesn't mean he's going to get him. Hell, Bohn might be talking about Nick Saban with that comment. Doesn't mean that's who the next coach will be.
