...For sure there will be no house cleaning (Collins)...

Or to stay positive Collins will be let go and Cabral assumes DC.

I think Cabral looks around, says **** this and goes to the NFL or retires.

Yeah, the fact that Cabral may not be coming back makes me uneasy. That would be another kick to the gut.

I thought BC has his sights set on being a college DC. Not sure he'd want to go back to the league.

I honestly pray Cabral sticks around....but I do not see why he would want to and why he would work under this doofus (yes, I just used that word).

Ideally, given the circumstances, Collins gets canned, Cabral is promoted to DC (long overdue) and Sykes moves in to coach LBs with Brian looking over his shoulder. Sykes can be a great recruiter and with Ambrose at DBs you have assembled a younger staff with some great knowledge and let them lose on the recruiting trail.

But this is CU, nothing ever works out that way.

They are just rumors, but how could anyone blame him?

Cabral has been an icon for the CU football program for more than 30 years. He will always be one of the greatest Buffs.

I wouldn't blame him either, but since the rest of the 1990 staff went their separate ways he's been the biggest asset we've had as a coach. Most important guy on staff, 20 years strong! It would be disastrous with Brown also leaving. Hawk has too much loyalty to the people he brought and little respect for those with CU ties, and I think his record here reflects the consequences of that preferential treatment.

If we have lost Brown and let's just pretend that we do lose Cabral, how huge of a step back does our defense take? I will admit Badison has coached his guys up on the D-Line last year, but after that we can talk about how nice it is to have a former NFL db coaching or db's, but we don't know anything until Ambrose actually coaches someone.

    Brown leaving means?

For Arizona it means Brown has enough cache in the coaching world to be a DC at a BCS program that is bowl bound.

For Colorado it means Brown was not good enough to be promoted over Ron "I think if we hold Toledo to 54 we have a chance" Collins.
