BOULDER – BSN Buffs Assistant Editor Jake Shapiro caught up with linebackers Kenneth Olugbode and Rick Gamboa following the Colorado Buffaloes fall camp scrimmage.
Olugbode, a captain on the defense and a sure fire starter, commented on his team in general. The junior has started 23 games in his college career, nabbing 169 tackles in the process.
Gamboa, the redshirt sophomore, played in all 13 games last season and started in 11. He replaced the injured Addison Gillam at inside linebacker and ended up with a team-high 96 tackles. That breakout performance tabbed him as the 2015 Lee Willard Award recipient as CU’s most outstanding freshman. Gamboa told the camera a little bit about where he’s improved.
