After visiting Boulder this past weekend, three-star offensive lineman Xavier Newman de-committed from the University of Texas. On Monday, Newman announced he would be coming back to the Centennial State for a longer trip.
“Four the next four years I will continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Colorado,” he said via Twitter.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive tackle from De Soto, Texas, is a consensus three-star that has an invite to the 2017 Under Armour All-American game. He chose Texas in April over offers from Arizona State, Colorado State, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Oklahoma.
Newman marks commit No. 19 for the Buffaloes in the 2017 class, a class that currently ranks No. 30 in the country according to Scout.com.
