LAS VEGAS -- Steve Alford is the next Bob Knight. In New Mexico. The legendary Hoosier, who won a national championship playing for Knight at Indiana in 1987, has guided the Lobos to back-to-back Mountain West titles and compiled an 84-27 record since leaving Big Ten country (he was Iowa`s head coach) and taking over the program in Albuquerque.
