LOS ANGELES — Senior outside hitter Taylor Simpson hammered 12 kills on Friday night against No. 20 USC, but the University of Colorado volleyball team lost a hard fought match 25-20, 25-18, 25-19 to the Trojans at Galen Center.
Simpson hit .310 with only three errors on a 29 attacks. She also recorded a team-best 11 digs for her ninth double-double of the year.
As a team CU had 33 kills, but recorded 15 errors on 94 attacks to hit .191. The Trojans hit .356 with 42 kills and 10 errors on 90 swings.
