AZUSA, Calif. – The Buffs took California by storm on Wednesday and Thursday as the throws team and the combined events athletes made statements in their respective events at the Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational.

Emily Hunsucker recorded her fourth first place finish of the season in the hammer throw at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday, recording a mark of 205-03. In addition, Alex Kizirian recorded a second place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 190-10.

Courtney Bouchet also ran in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday at Mt. SAC, finishing fifth with a time of 10:38.88.
