Classic Ron Collins doing his Okruch impression.

Forget to mention his corner blitz that resulted in a 52 yard TD in the beg of the 2nd half.. It brought back the great memories of the 2003 defense from Okruch. Way to disguise that blitz..

I can't bag on the defense for their performance at all. They gave the offense three turnovers in the first half and did a remarkable job against clearly more talented opponent. The game wasn't out of reach until well into the 4th quarter. Had the offense done something other than 1 ****ing field goal off the turnovers, things likely would have been different.

Unlike the offense, Collins has had his defense make adjustments and, I thought, called some good blitzes that got us some sacks last night. One risk of a blitz is that you give up a big play, which happened on the one you mentioned. In that case, WVU did a good job delaying the snap count enough to get the corner to show his blitz.

I think there was some improvement, but again shakey tackling. It may just be the talent we faced and they have become better tacklers, but still seemed shaky to me.

db's are a disappointment. i thought they had a chance to be a solid unit. maybe even a strength. looked good in the scrimmages and spring game....but, turns out, it's the WR's being bad as well.

those first two plays were a joke. a bad joke. looked like we had 8 guys on the field.
