Count that as the first negative against Embo. The Panamera is the most useless they´ve ever built. It´s basically neither a sports car, nor a sedan. **** VW for that takeover anyway. Bastards.

Either get a SUV like the Cayenne or a proper sports car like the Boxster or the 911.

I have to agree with Jens on this on. As much of a joke it is for Porsche to make an SUV, Embo would have been better off in a Cayenne than a Panamera. I hope he makes better decisions on game day...

So would I, although I guess neither you nor me could afford to maintain that car. Think of insurance, gas, repairs etc.

The Panamera basically is a pimped up Touareg anyway. In case you haven´t noticed, I hate how ****ing VW meddles in the affairs of our local crown jewel company here.

The Panamera is the Porsche I want to get. Consider for a second the needs of someone who is over 6'4" and also has kids to chauffeur around. For that audience, the Panamera is about the best car you can get. Someone 6 feet tall can sit comfortably behind the driver in the back seat. You've got enough trunk space for golf clubs, a stroller, luggage, etc. And it's still a Porsche with a nice turbo engine.

    I doubt he'd fit in a boxster.

Uh I think you meant eh Cayenne - which shares it's platform with both the Touareg and the Q7.

That should look good when he starts pulling up in front of the Colorado recruits' homes to say "Hi, I'm Jon Embree."

Benz and BMW do not have the panache of a Porsche. The M5 is too small anyway, these cars are much closer to the 7 series in size than the 5.

The Panamera is hideous. It's sad to see Porsche stoop so low.

The Panamera is the best car you can get or the best Porsche you can get? Porsche is, or should be, all about sports cars and SJ has a point when he says it´s a joke they made the Cayenne in first place. Do you want a Porsche which fits your every day needs, which is a bit of an oxymoron, or do you want a car which fits your every day needs? If it´s the latter there are better alternatives around.

    I did. Sorry.

Sidenote, but I think it´s completely funny how everyone who isn´t from this area refers to them as Mercedes or Benz whereas everyone around here just speaks of Daimler.

How are the cars marketed in Germany? The name Daimler almost never appears in any advertising, marketing or official copy in the US.
