Coach Nick: Attacking a Zone

Thought you guys might enjoy this video, breaks it down from each player's responsibilities on both sides of the ball. I was always taught that you had to move as soon as you passed the ball, that's one area where I think we've struggled. Dom, Yaz, and Fortune would pass the ball off and then just hang out at their starting position, which made the defense's job so much easier especially with the fact that they don't scare anyone from 3. Scott, Wes, and King should have made it pretty damn simple to score whenever the defense went zone.

Coach Nick is awesome. He's a little biased from time to time but I definitely recommend checking out his NBA videos too. He's made me hate Westbrook even more :D

WTF? "Splain yourself! Fortune and Dom are both good shooters from 3 pt. range. Yaz will put it up, but is not as effective.

Sub 40% 3pt shooting is nothing special in college. Fortune shoots okay in that respect. Dom is good about picking his 3s, and he hits them at a good percentage when he takes them. But it's about taking them with him. Yaz shot under 30% from 3. My point was they aren't like George King, who helps to create space with his sharpshooting and is a "zone-buster".
