    Want to see them?

They are pdf versions at the link.

Kirk Ferentz of Iowa the big winner at $3,030,000.

If Iowa decided to fire him without cause, he gets 75% of that salary for each year left on the contract. The amount stays the same whether Ferentz gets another job.

Don't get me wrong: Ferentz is not on the hot seat, far as I know. I just found it interesting that you could read their contracts, and I used him as an example.

He gets a bonus of $500,000 if Iowa is named national champs.

Found it interesting that Minnesota agreed to pay $200,000/year into Brewster's state retirement account.

That's quite a chunk of change when you consider that is half of his base salary of $400,000/year. At the same time Ohio State agreed to deposit only $40,000/ year into Tressel's account.

Zook had a speaking engagement with the Illinois Asphalt and Paving Association.... wonder if he got a new driveway out of the deal.
