I'm just wondering how little people know. The quote below is from the Col's thread on Belloti saying "no" to CU.

"Bellotti had met informally with CU officials twice in the past month but has decided he is not sure if he wants to return to coaching." Did any of the rumors on the Net reveal he had even one meeting? How may people were interviewed, how many times, before the 'search committee' was even formed?

I also didn't quite get the statement from the chair of that committee when he talked about qualifications. The first thing he noted, was that the new good coach would have to be a "good CEO". O.K. That's amibiguous enuf, you could use it to exclude almost anyone (except maybe Mac)

Maybe they already decided and gave Belotti a chance to back out gracefully, because they choose somebody else

Part of me thinks that CU didn't have as much interest in Belotti as some were lead to believe.

I don't believe Belotti had all that much interest in the CU job, but wants other schools to know that he is a viable candidate for a HC job.

The fact that CU showed interest proves his point.
