I know I know. Cody is horrible. Bench him for real. He just doesn't have what it takes.

You still haven't given any solution here. Who do we play that gives us a chance to win? Benching Cody is not the answer.

I don't really see a solution bro honestly, but try something. My first thing would be bench Cody.

That wouldn't solve any of our problems. He's clearly the best QB on the team. Benching him for a RS-FR would be a huge mistake. Our OLine hasn't been doing that great either.

Benching Cody probably isn't the answer.

But having him continually throw the ball when his game is off isn't the answer, either. Under .500 passing. Averaged less than 5 yard per passing attempt. Lots of missed plays to receivers who were WIDE open. Another INT. Another fumble - this one coming on CU's first possession.

I'd rather take a zero yard rushing play than an incomplete pass.

I don't think there is any such thing as "ten easy points" especially in CFB.

You can't bench Cody, but effing a, we should have had 24-35 points in the first half. Very reminescent of the ASU game last year. Makes me wonder if we really are making progress. Still hopeful for next week - I think we can do it. The game planning is, I think, phoenemenal, we just have to execute. Second half could be better offensively, but I'll definitely take the Buffs against the line next week (11.5 is my guess).

9 times out of 10 Cody makes those throws to Moyd and Devenny. Today was an off day for him and hopefully everyone can bounce back next week.

That point aside, if I was D Scott I would be PISSED about my lack of play time. People say that Speedy has just shown he is better, well give Scott a damn chance to actually show what he can do. CSU-great runs, TD, running people over. EW: jumping over people, running hard. WVU: little PT and a fairly big catch that he turned into a nice run. FSU: only a few carries, started with 2 carries for 10 yards.

WHY THE **** IS HE NOT BEING PLAYED!! TAKE SUMLERS 1/2 YARD AVERAGE ASS OUT AND PUT IN THE ****ING PLAYMAKERS. GOD DAMNIT LETS LINE UP WITH SPEEDY AND SCOTT FOR ONCE!

Scott looked a little tentative out there. His knee might not be 100%

What exactly is wrong with is knee? If he isnt 100% why play him at all? He will not get better only carrying 4 times instead of 20 times.

Because the whole D takes notice when Darrell is on the field. He's a good decoy guy.

Not sure. It has been dinged up since the EWU game.

But you're right, he will never be able to establish any sort of confidence with four touches.

Also his pass blocking isn't helping his PT.

I dont buy that. I think that having recruited the ****ing number 1 running back in the nation to use him as a damn decoy? If he doesnt see significant play time, I wouldnt be very suprised if he starts to look around at other programs.

Yea I don't get it. If his knee is banged up have him sit out and heal. If he is healthy enough to play put him and Speedy out there instead of bumler. I thought bumler was mostly in to block on passing down but he was running routes instead.

Keep in mind these are young kids. Calling him 'bumler' is pretty below the belt. Especially on a anonymous internet message board.

The reason Sumler is in there is because of his pass blocking abilities. You have to run every now and then so it's not an obvious passing play.

Sumler is a good recieving threat as well. I really don't think Stewart or Scott have fully picked up the playbook either.

Ok, I need to respond both of these points.

1)9/10 Cody makes the throw? Seriously? How many times have there been open receivers this year and how many times has he hit them? 9/10? I dunno if we have anyone better, but let's not say the play is made 9/10 times.

2)Right on. Scott's looked good when he gets the ball and has somewhere, anywhere, to go. If he's hurt, let him recover. If he's not, give the dude the ball. IN THE FIRST HALF. Maybe it's the pass blocking?

I'm wondering if they arent trying to save Scott for the UT game and the rest of the Big12?

I agree it would be great to see him as the main back with Speedy playing at the same time too getting every third or fourth carry on quick pitches screens while DS is banging it up the middle.

I am tired of that little misdirection run from the shotgun. That only works about every 5th time they try it.
