The University of Colorado men's cross country team successfully defended its NCAA championship at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course on Saturday, winning its fifth overall team title.
In total, this is CU’s 27th national championship. The ski team has won 19 NCAA titles, while cross country had won seven titles (five men and two women) and football has one championship; 25 of those titles are NCAA Championships. This championship is also the 470th for the Pac-12 Conference.

As I also note in the original post, prior to the last half hour or so, the cubuffs.com article was just a preliminary one without much detail or quotes. the link in the OP is now to the full article.

:gobuffs::cheers::congrats::rock::dance::dance4::dance3: Nice job guys! Also, a nice 7th place showing for the ladies.

The guys had 5 All-Americans (and missed a 6th by one spot), and the ladies had one. Great day for the CU harriers.

Great job by the men on repeating as national champs and great job by the women on their finish!!!

Fantastic news on a Saturday when other CU teams were letting me down. CU is very fortunate to have coaches like Mark Wetmore and Richard Rokos who recognize that you can spend a lifetime coaching in Boulder with the right resources and win national championships here.
